Customer Reviews Intex 2,650-Gallon Sand Filter Pump WOW, what an improvement! i'm replacing my 2000 gal/hr pump with this sand filter. ITS GREAT! significant improvement in suction. it got the dirt off the bottom of the pool by itself! the return is now so good it stirred the dirt from the bottom and sent it out the suction to the filter. i have been using a water hose attachment to clean the pool which works ok but it is alot of work. now i have more time to enjoy the pool. next i'm going to get a hayward aquacritter to keep the pool bottom clean since i now have the power to run one. the motor is almost 1HP (.95 )so the pool cleaner is now a option. out of the question before. FANTASTIC! water circulation is great! pool is cleaner! no more filter cartriges to clean or buy! what more could you ask! if you have a 16ft or greater intex pool this is indeed a worthy upgrade. mine is 16x48 and this thing has made the pool more enjoyable and my life easier! intex recommends changing the sand every 5 years, so this will save me considerable dollars vs buying cartriges every few weeks not to mention hoping you can find some all during the swimming season. very easy to set up and operate! build feels very durable! overall i'm one happy intex pool owner.

The sand filtration media lasts 5 years on average and this saves you money since you will not need to buy replacement filter cartridges every summer. Plus, sand filter pumps tend to last 2-3 times longer than traditional filter cartridge pumps for above ground pools. 6-function control enables you to easily maintain this filter pump system with settings for normal filtering, backwash, rinse, recirculate, drain and close system. This low maintenance sand filter is very easy to operate and maintain. Simply set the daily timer for automatic hassle-free management. The timer has daily cycle settings of 2, 4, 6, 8 or 12 hours. The size of your pool will determine the sand filter pump's daily cleaning period. Refer to the sand filter pump's operating manual for your pool's daily cleaning cycle requirements. The Intex above ground pool sand filter pump includes a strainer basket that automatically collects most of your pool's larger floating debris.
